In the photo, Paul is seen sitting next to Roger in the driver’s seat, smiling and looking at ease with his window down. He’s wearing black sunglasses and a black shirt, waiting for Roger to drive the red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT out of the parking lot.
When the happy image is juxtaposed next to photos taken of the mangled car on the side of the road minutes later, with gigantic orange flames and smoke leaping from the vehicle, it just goes to show how quickly the devastating accident happened.
Paul and Roger were both pronounced “dead on arrival” by first responders.

Nine days after his death on Nov. 9, Paul Walker‘s remains were finally handed over to his family, TMZ reported.
After Paul was tragically killed, his autopsy was put on hold while coroners waited for dental records. Now, his family will continue their funeral planning.
“They have not decided when the funeral will take place, it is still a work in progress,” Paul’s friend told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY on Dec. 5. “They want to make sure that everyone who wants to mourn will be together and all schedules match.”
The photo is hard to look at, but it does show that Paul was happy doing what he loved — enjoying his passion for cars and supporting his charity with friends and family — before his untimely death.
